Abstract

The pandemic caused by the coronavirus has had serious consequences for both human life and the world economy. Following the closure of borders in many countries, the global tourism sector has been one of the most affected and, more specifically, the air transport sector. Given the key role of the latter sector in the global economy, it is of interest to analyze the strategies carried out by airlines to mitigate the impact of COVID-19, illustrating the case of the company Binter Canarias and its comparison with Iberia and Ryanair.
