Abstract

This work studies cultural and individual factors that condition entrepreneurship in an African developing country in order to identify whether such factors differ (or not) of those operating in developed, western countries. In addition, and considering that the “country=culture” assumption can be inappropriate as subnational differences may exist, the work takes the approach of studying cultural values and entrepreneurial behavior from an intra-cultural differences perspective. The sample of 448 individuals was obtained in six territories from Cape Verde.
