Culture and Instruction in the Spanish Heritage Language Classroom

La compétence culturelle étant inhérente à l'acquisition d'une langue, elle devrait jouer un rôle central dans les cours de langues ancestrales afin que les apprenants puissent établir des liens avec leur propre culture et prendre conscience de la diversité du monde hispanophone. Cet article donne un aperçu de l'enseignement et de l'évaluation de la culture pour promouvoir la pensée critique et la réflexion afin de réduire les stéréotypes et de valider l'héritage culturel des apprenants de langues ancestrales. Il aborde également le rôle actuel des études à l'étranger et de l'apprentissage par le service dans l'enseignement de la culture dans les classes de langues ancestrales.
