About the Journal
Focus, aims and scope
The Guiniguada (eISSN: 2386-3374) is a scientific publication, double-blind peer reviewed process, adhered to the Digital Portal of Scientific Journals of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and its SPDC, and under the editorial responsibility of the Faculty of Education Sciences of the homonymous university.
Its main objective is to provide a platform for international academics and researchers to share contemporary thoughts on the broad subject area of ??education and educational policies. The journal defines among its aims (a) to promote the analysis and exchange of ideas through research results and informed reflections from different educational levels and scenarios, (b) to contemplate both quantitative research and qualitative research (educational ethnography, case studies, holistic methodology, discourse analysis, applied designs ...), and (c) to offer the scientific community an open and democratic instrument of analysis, reflection and knowledge generation on the area of educational research (theoretical and applied) and educational innovation.
The journal accumulates more than thirty years of activity (since 1984). The journal is being electronically edited from volume 22 and it helds a renewed structure from volume 23. This volume initiates the third and current stage of the journal. With volume 24, The Guiniguada joined the OJS.
The journal’s publication languages ??are Spanish and English, although articles written in Galician, Catalan, French, Italian and Basque will also be considered.
The journal publishes previously unpublished contributions once they pass an anonymous (double blind) evaluation process conducted by external experts. The journal’s main focus is on educational research results (theoretical or applied) and in experiences in innovation (methodological reviews, comparative analyzes, designs implemented with emerging methodologies, etc.).
