-Hablar de educación es hablar de cultura, de transmisión de conocimientos, de aprendizaje de una serie de hábitos saludables para la convivencia, por tanto, el significado que encierra dicho término va más allá de lo que en principio pudiera parecer, abarcando distintos campos y particularmente el de la Seguridad Vial, campo este último que versa sobre las normas que regulan el comportamiento de conductores y peatones y es en este ámbito donde la educación también juega un papel relevante, en el sentido de constituir el instrumento idóneo para enseñar normas viales, dando lugar a la llamada Educación Vial, a través de la cual se transmiten enseñanzas y se promueven valores viales con el fin último de favorecer la convivencia en las vías. Si educar es transmitir experiencias vividas para favorecer la convivencia social, esa labor se puede llevar a cabo en numerosos campos sociales, constituyendo el de la Seguridad Vial, uno de ellos.
-To speak of education is to speak of culture, of transmission of knowledge and health habits for coexistence but, the meaning that locks up this term goes beyond what in principle could seem: it includes different fields, particularly the one from Road Security which is about the norms that regulate drivers and pedestrians’ conduct. It is in this scope where education plays an excellent role in the sense that it constitutes a suitable instrument to teach road norms and values favouring coexistence in road behavior.
