This is the presentation of the monographic section of volume 29 of El Guiniguada which offers the topic Women, literary education and interculturality. Literary education lies in teaching and learning of the abilities and skills needed to competently read literary texts, and enhances the educational value of literature because it focuses on its own specific competences. From a contemporary and universal perspective, it must take on the challenge of addressing a series of decisions in the classroom from a respectful, inclusive and transformative point of view. Intercultural and multilingual education stands as a basic element that favors cultural coexistence and tolerance. And in this complex framework of literary and multicultural relationships within the educational context, women creators claim their presence after so many years of unacceptable invisibility. This article includes ample evidence of their work.
