Author Biography

M.ª Pilar Panero García, Universidad de Valladolid

M.ª Pilar Panero García is Associate Professor of Social Anthropology at the Universidad de Valladolid, with a degree in Hispanic Philology from the Universidad de Salamanca and in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature from the Universidad de Valladolid. Since 2005 she has been working at the Department of Studies on Tradition, university branch of the Fundación Joaquín Díaz (Joaquín Díaz Foundation), and since 2022 she has been its director. She combines her teaching duties with the publication of several works. She teaches non-formal education at the Universidad de la Experiencia Millán Santos and collaborates in various educational activities such as exhibitions. Her lines of research are cultural heritage, popular religiosity, ethnohistory, and literature from the perspective of cultural anthropology.
