Investiture of Honorary Doctors

On the occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), this institution appoints 11 women Honoris Causa Doctors, from all spheres of the scientific, political and humanitarian world, of which two of them have been proposed by the Departments of Psychology, Sociology and Social Work and Specific Didactics, both based in the Faculty of Educational Sciences. These are doctors M. ª Teresa Anguera Arcilaga (proposed by the Department of Psychology, Sociology and Social Work) and M. ª Dolores Castro Benítez (proposed by the Department of Specific Didactics). Their respective godmothers and directors of the Departments involved, M. ª del Sol Fortea Sevilla and M. ª Dolores Medina Benítez summarize, here, a brief profile of their extraordinary research and humanitarian careers.
